No Short Cuts - Only God Knows The Correct Interpretation

There are no short cuts!

Just reading a diet book won’t help you lose weight.  If you’re a serious Christian dream interpreter and you want to know what dreams from God actually look like, then you have to read and study all the dreams in the Bible.  There’s no other way!

Where else will you find God’s dreams?

Where else will you discover God’s plans and purpose for His dreams?

The American prophet and dream interpreter John Paul Jackson said, If we want to understand our dreams we should study each dream in Scripture and look for patterns.  John Paul was 100% correct but I believe it’s even deeper.

Feel free to join me on this quest of discovery as I blog chapters of my latest book, All God’s Bible Dreams.

Remember, only God knows the future.  Did you ever wonder why you’ve never read a headline like, New Age psychic wins the National Lotto for the sixth week in a row?

If these soothsayers are so powerful why don’t they put their ‘gifts’ to some practical use?  The reason is, they and their gods have no revelation.   They don’t know the future.

Scripture states there gods are deaf, dumb, blind and crippled. [1] It also says they know nothing and are coming to nothing.  Paul said if they had any revelation they wouldn’t have crucified the Lord of glory. Their stupidity actually led to their downfall.[2]

We also see their ignorance at work in Babylon when Nebuchadnezzar decided to slaughter all his witches and wizards because none of them could actually tell him what he had dreamed nor correctly interpret it. [3]

Instead, these well paid and well fed magicians, enchanters, astrologers and diviners whined.  They said, There is no one on earth who can do what the king asks!  No king, however great and mighty, has ever asked such a thing of any magician or enchanter or astrologer. [4]

God’s man, Daniel, came to the rescue and saved their bacon.  Daniel said, No wise man, enchanter, magician or diviner can explain to the king the mystery he has asked about, but there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries. [5]

Daniel wasn’t being self effacing or polite in his comments.  He was just stating a fact.  Like the rest of Nebuchadnezzar’s wise men, Daniel knew he was also powerless to know or interpret the king’s dream unless the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob revealed it to him.

The same thing happened with Joseph in Egypt.  God sent Pharaoh a dream, which no magician or wise men could interpret. Pharaoh said to Joseph, I had a dream, and no one can interpret it. But I have heard it said of you that when you hear a dream you can interpret it. [6]

Like Daniel, Joseph quickly admitted his helplessness. He told Pharaoh, I cannot do it, but God will give Pharaoh the answer he desires. [7]

Only God knows the future and only God can give a true interpretation of His Own dreams.  No person or god can interpret or understand God’s dreams unless it’s part of God’s purpose to allow this to happen.  God is sovereign.

We can study all the books on dream interpreta[ion and dream symbols until Pharaoh’s cows come home, but unless God anoints us with supernatural wisdom and revelation we know nothing. [8]

In the first sermon ever preached in the Church of Jesus Christ on Pentecost, Peter said God was now pouring out His Holy Spirit upon all people. [9]

He said one of the ways this new grace would manifest was by men and women receiving dreams from God.  This is the time we now live in.  Today, God’s dreams are being multiplied all over the earth.

But like Joseph and Daniel we need to remember our total dependence upon God for a proper interpretation of His dreams. Scripture says,

The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who among men knows the thoughts of man except his own spirit within him? So too, no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. [10]

Only God can give the correct interpretation. We constantly need to realise there are no experts at interpreting God’s dreams.  We are merely unworthy servants [11] being blessed by our Master Who allows us to be involved in his great plans and purpose and to do His bidding.

If God doesn’t give us the interpretation we know absolutely nothing of value.

But praise God, Jesus has sent His Holy Spirit to lead us into all truth. [12]

God’s dreams are wonderful things. They have saved untold millions of lives. Jesus’s life was often saved by dreams and Pharaoh’s dreams saved Israel, Egypt and multitudes of others.
